Heart Cry Church

The Gospel will be presented every worship gathering because we believe that it is the meaning of our lives (1 Corinthians 15:17-19).

The Gospel can be presented in 3 parts.

When God created the heavens and the earth, He also created man. Adam was the first man, and God gave him Eve as his partner, establishing the first marriage of history. But in Genesis 3, Adam and Eve separated themselves from God because they sinned. They then faced a problem, because their own works could not get them back to God, they could never be good enough. What’s important to know, is that we too are sinful and are separated from God (Romans 3:23)

What God did:

As a result of sin, God prophesied throughout the Old Testament that the Messiah (Jesus) would come to save the people from Hell and to unite men and women back to God. God sent His son Jesus on earth, who lived a perfect life. He performed miracles, signs, and wonders. Jesus then died on the cross for our sins and fulfilled the promises God gave throughout the Old Testament. 3 days later, He rose from death and was living again among the people to prove He is God and has victory over sin and death. Now God has exalted Jesus to the right hand of God in Heaven.

What We Do:

The first thing we are to do is to respond to what God did by repenting. Repentance is the Spirit-empowered acknowledgement of sin that results in a change of mind about who and what God is in my life, what is important, and what is good and bad. We then respond by taking the step of faith and trusting that Jesus is the only way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). We are then, children of God, but are commanded to show the world your decision by act of baptism (being fully immersed into water).

What God Gives:

Immediately you receive the gift of forgiveness from your sins, because Jesus was our propitation or our atonement (1 John 2:2). God then gives us the Holy Spirit that enables us to live with a new heart and new life for Christ. (2 Corinthians 5:17). We now desire to be more like Jesus every day, and desire to have community with other fellow followers of Christ, e.g. Worship Gathering, Community Groups etc..

We have faith that if God has really done a supernatural work in your heart, you’ll know exactly how to respond and will be assured that you are now saved from death and have a new life in Christ Jesus. We are called to live radically for Jesus and the same Spirit that rose Jesus from the grave is living in those who call on the name of Jesus. We have power through the Spirit that changes our entire lifestyle.

In our community groups we learn how to share the gospel

This has become effective for our witnessing but also for our daily life. We believe it is critical to preach the gospel to ourselves every day. It can be summarized as: God, Man, Jesus, Response.

God.

God is the creator of all things (Genesis 1). He is perfectly holy, worthy of all worship, and will punish sin (1 John 1:5, Revelation 4:11, Romans 2:5-8)

Man.

All people, though created good, have become sinful by nature (Genesis 1:26-28, Psalm 51:5, Romans 3:23). From birth, all people are alienated from God, hostile to God, and subject to the wrath of God (Ephesians 2:1-3).

Jesus.

Jesus Christ, who is fully God and fully man, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to bear God’s wrath in the place of all who would believe in him, and rose from the grave in order to give his people eternal life (John 1:1, 1 Timothy 2:5, Hebrews 7:26, Romans 3:21-26 ,2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Corinthians 15:20-22).

Response.

God calls everyone everywhere to repent of his or her sins and trust in Christ in order to be saved (Mark 1:15, Acts 20:21, Romans 10:9-10).
